Brad Bischoff

Bischoff's films have screened all over the world, including the 61st Festival de Cannes. His stories touch people’s hearts and challenge their conventions. IFP Chicago Vice-President, John Otterbacher will lead a special presentation, where he and Brad will discuss the span of his work. Otterbacher says of Bischoff's work: "I knew there was something special about Brad's vision after his first student film EYELIDS, a film which moves me to this day. He has not disappointed in follow up films, and I am thrilled to see them on the big screen again where they deserve to be seen. It hasn't always been easy, but he pushed through and I think it is those lessons that will be of most interest to students, filmmakers and film fans alike."

The screening includes his previous shorts and his upcoming 2016 debut feature production called, THE GRASSHOPPER, which he describes as a “suburban fever dream.” The film studies a contractor who ditches work to spend the afternoon honeymooning with his wife in their suburban paradise home. In the words of DAYS OF WINE AND ROSES, “It is different. It is daring. Most of all, in its own terrifying way, it is a love story…”
