Brandon J. Lown works with Chicago filmmakers in various capacities, including producing, casting, and set management. Before working in film production he worked as an electrician, record store manager, music promoter, and lighting director of the Double Door music venue. Brandon took advantage of an opportunity to go back to school by enrolling in film courses at College of DuPage in Glen Ellyn. Through the Motion Picture & Television department he gained experience in editing, sound design, cinematography, directing, and the preproduction process. He earned a degree in Film/Video Production in 2013.
In the spring of 2013, Brandon produced his first film, The Luminary, directed by Kevin Norton and starring Shannon Brown. In the summer, he directed a PSA for the Illinois Prairie Path. Last fall, he helped director Adam R. Jones produce Midnight Rain, a vampire drama film. In the spring of 2014, Brandon worked as UPM on the set of Marked (starring Jax Turyna). This summer he was brought aboard as 1st AD on the set of the Julian Grant film, Finding Hope. Brandon joined Two 9 Productions to work alongside owners Shannon & Suzette Brown producing independent films. He is eager to work with more of Chicago's talented directors, producers, and actors in the creation of successful productions. Brandon is looking forward to working on new projects this fall and prepping for Spring 2015.
