Jonathan Jackson is the artistic and executive director of Milwaukee Film and has been since their first film festival in 2009. He previously served as the artistic director for the Milwaukee International Film Festival, and directed film programming there from its inception in 2003 to 2007. Jonathan currently serves on the Education Committee of the Milwaukee Art Museum (MAM) and curates short film programs for MAM extending from their featured exhibitions. Previously, he worked as a teacher for the world renowned University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee (UWM) Film Department where he attended college, as a freelance writer for the Shepherd Express newspaper, and as program manager of the single screen cinema, the UWM Union Theatre, from 2000 to 2003. In 2011, Jonathan was honored with a Milwaukee Business Journal "40 under 40" Award.
