IFP Chicago is growing and has a strong need for social media interns. We are offering internships for summer.
Summer interns would start in May (preferred) or early June at the latest. The internships are unpaid, but if your school offers class credits, we will happily complete any paperwork you need to make that happen. Interns will be able to attend all IFP Chicago events gratis during the course of the internship and will receive a one-year membership to IFP Chicago on completion of internship.
We require a minimum of 8 hours/week and a 3-month commitment, but the schedule is flexible to accommodate classes or other jobs.
Interns will be working directly with IFP Chicago’s Executive Director, Operations Manager, Social Media Chair (board member), and possibly other board members. You will be helping to develop a social media calendar and implementing said calendar on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. If you whip our social media into a smooth running machine, there will also be opportunities to get involved with creation of newsletter content, web content, press releases, etc.
If this sounds like a dream opportunity, submit your resume to firstname.lastname@example.org. Ensure resume includes education and relevant experience, including use of tools such as Hootsuite, WordPress, Constant Contact, etc. In the email, let us know why you want an internship with IFP Chicago.
Deadline for summer interns is April 30. Email us with specific questions.
