Chicago Premiere: "Stopping For Death: The Nurses of Wells House Hospice," a New Documentary by Wendy Roderweiss

The Chicago Premiere of Wendy Roderweiss' documentary "Stopping For Death: The Nurses of Wells House Hospice" will arrive at the Landmark Century Centre Cinema on Thursday, June 18, 2015, at 7:30 pm.

Contrarian Films Presents the Chicago debut of the feature documentary "Stopping For Death: The Nurses of Wells House Hospice".  Filmed at one of the only full-time residential hospices in the country we see these nurses waver between fulfillment and despair, clashing with management and fighting budget cuts while trying to keep life as normal as possible for their dying patients.

“Stopping for Death” immerses the viewer in the hospice environment, depicting the experience of end-of-life care from the point-of-view of both nurses and patients.  It’s an intimate look at nurse/patient relationships and tells a great story, full of compelling characters.  It’s also full of humor, especially the irreverent type which gets hospice nurses through their days.
